Microneedling with PRF is another option for a facial. PRF stands for Platelet-Rich Fibrin. The process involves taking a sample of your blood and circulating it around bio-PRF. The Bio-PRF site describes the process as, “Bio-PRF is a 100% natural and autologous three-dimensional fibrin scaffold derived from peripheral blood. Following effective centrifugation, platelets and leukocytes are accumulated within the upper PRF layer.” In simpler terms your blood is spun around in a special machine. The mask is then spread over your face while a clinician uses micro-needles across your face to help your skin absorb the freshly spun platelets.
